President's Message

A few months ago I shared with you that ADBIZ would be merging with Prints of Hope, a non-profit ministry based in Miami, Florida. While the merger has taken much longer than we all expected, plans are still under way and should be finalized by the end of summer. This merger will allow us to collaborate with the many business owners and professionals that reside in our community and create a pool of resources from which ideas can be drawn as well as energy that can assist Seventh-day Adventists in expanding not only professionally, but spiritually.

For more information about Prints of Hope, visit http://www.printsofhope.org.

Over the past few moths, I have heard horror stores about people passing away with no basic estate plan in place. Minors were virtually left to fend for themselves; and family members had no idea where assets were located. No matter your net worth, it's important to have a basic estate plan in place. Such a plan ensures that your family and financial goals are met after you die. For those with young children, it's also the best place to name guardians for your children. Dying without a will - also known as dying "intestate" - can be costly to your heirs and leaves you no say over who gets your assets, and possibly who will take care of your children.

Over the summer months, ADBIZ will be hosting a number of estate planning seminars. For details, contact Olga Hamilton at 954-341-3250.

God Bless.
